Chris Mantanz discovered his enthusiasm for music relatively early. At the age of 7 he started taking keyboard lessons and a few months later gave his first concert at the age of 8. A year later he expanded his musical repertoire to include several instruments.
After a musical break until 2016, Chris Mantanz, then still under the name "ChrNdra", started his sound engineering studies at the Hofa College with a focus on mix and mastering in March 2020, which he successfully completed and passed on March 22, 2023 thus received a state-recognized qualification as an audio engineer. Musical career: Parallel to his studies, Chris Mantanz began his career as a DJ and this was followed by numerous appearances at open-air events, clubs and festivals. His DJ sets and productions gradually gained more following and led him to the Nektar-Sounds label. There he released his singles "puLSDruck" and "Vere Affectus", among others. Since then, he has released another 7 singles and 2 collaborations. His music is heard by fans worldwide, reflected in over 72,000 views on streaming platforms in more than 80 countries. He also founded his own label in 2023 under the namegruppenschimmer records on which the singles “Movepressure” and “Pump Up” were released, which received over 1k streams on Soundcloud after less than 24 hours.
